We would be delighted to arrange for one of our volunteers to visit your vessel ashore or afloat and give you a free Sea Check. This is available for private pleasure craft and we offer friendly and confidential advice.
We normally do a walk and talk through the safety equipment you have aboard, discuss any safety issues you want to talk about and sea safety in general.
We have tables suggesting the right size anchor cable and weight for different kinds of vessels. We have reports and information on a vast range of equipment fitted to pleasure craft.
This normally take about an hour but if you offer tea and chocolate biscuits we would be happy to stay and chat a little longer!
We can also arrange lifejacket clinics for clubs and groups. This gives you a chance to bring your lifejackets in and we are happy to show you the basic checks to make. If you have never opened up your jacket and had a look inside - now is your chance!
